With heavy emo influence and flashier guitars, “Your Fake Love” sets a new tone for Decline to State’s future.
Shortly following the introduction of Jacob Rubin as bassist, and Ven Noel as lead guitarist, Decline to State from Reno, NV is set to release ‘Your Fake Love,’ an emo influenced fast paced rock anthem on January 14th. ‘Your Fake Love’ is the third single from the band and the first one they wrote collaboratively as a group.
“Your Fake Love” is Decline to State‘s most ambitious release yet, featuring a higher level or production, flashier lead guitars, and aggressive drums. With a budget of zero dollars, ‘Your Fake Love’ was written and recorded entirely in their practice space in vocalist Ashton Roske’s basement and produced by the band’s guitarist Ven Noel.
Ashton says about writing together for the first time: “It just felt really natural getting into a room with Ven and Jacob, and writing a song like this together.”
Ven adds: “We wrote this sh*t in like four hours, please stream.”
Decline to State was formed in Reno NV by frontman Ashton Roske in 2022 but didn’t release their first single until August of 2024. The lineup currently consists of Ashton Roske (Vocalist/Guitarist), Ven Noel (Lead Guitarist), Jacob Rubin (Bassist), and Chase Carpenter (Drummer). The band gathers influence from a wide range of Emo, Pop Punk, J Rock, and Post-Hardcore bands like Dance Gavin Dance, My Chemical Romance, and Pierce The Veil. The band continues to grow in their local scene and hopes to grow nationally as soon as possible.
