Emo / Alt-Rock / Post Hardcore outfit NAKEDBURN have just released their new song, ‘jaded’ feat. Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats and it’s subsequent music video as well as announce their debut EP “Drowning,” to be released in early 2025.
“‘jaded’ is just the tip of the iceberg for what the future holds,” shares guitarist Luc Chiasson. “We felt that this single was the perfect introduction to the band’s upcoming record because it is objectively NAKEDBURN‘s heaviest song to date. We knew we didn’t want to stay complicit with people’s expectations of us, and releasing this song felt like an appropriate statement to mark the next phase of this band”
“‘jaded’ is a turning point for NAKEDBURN,” adds bassist Michael Van. “It’s where we, as a band, are truly locking into our sound—heavy, emotional, and undeniably catchy. This track will have you two-stepping whether you’re in the kitchen, the grocery store, or the shower. It’s a little taste of what’s coming with our EP in the new year, and we can’t wait to share this new chapter with everyone.”

NAKEDBURN will be releasing their debut EP, “Drowning.” in early 2025, which will feature 4 brand new songs, including ‘jaded.’
“Drowning” showcases a shift in the band’s sound as it marks the band’s first full collaborative effort with it’s current lineup. With this EP, the band delves into darker territory, moving away from the lighter affairs of the past releases and incorporating elements of post-hardcore with their roots in emo-rock revival. This is immediately evident with ‘jaded,’ which displays a heavier side to the band and features a vocal feature from Canadien punk icon Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats fame.
“This EP is the start of a new chapter for NAKEDBURN,” divulges Chiasson. “Not only is “Drowning” a representation of musical growth for the band, but it is also a highlight of the unique personal journeys experienced by each of the band’s members throughout the record’s writing and recording process. These songs showcase NAKEDBURN’s diverse range of musical capabilities within the emo / alternative genre.”
