A tribute to my dad. In 2017, the 9th of september to be exact, my dad sent me an email with a word-document attatched named “A 4 Letter Anthem”. The only thing written in the email was: “u may be hate it’. I did NOT hate it. His dream was for me to sing these lyrics in a british punk way, and give an anthem to all ADHD people. I’m sorry it took so long dad, but I think it was worth the wait to meet the right people to bring the lyrics to life. Per Dahlberg and Andreas Björklund from APA GBG (thanks to mum who brought us together). They wrote the music and it was perfect, exactly how my dad had envisioned it (maybe even better). We recorded it, I was nervous as hell but managed to keep it together thanks to Per and Andreas. Here it is, A 4 letter Anthem. For me, it is a tribute to my dad and best friend, Ivor “Dratsab” Howard, powered by ADHD.
Belinda Howard
From Belinda Howard: This is to support those with ADHD. It’s their song. People with untreated ADHD and mental health issues face a life of trauma, depression and can lead to loss of life, their own or others. It is well documented that school shootings are often the cause of mental health issues. The music industry is cursed by mental health problems in artists, but are pushed to the limits by the industry to produce and perform. Liam Payne being the most recent victim, but the list is very long. Lets be heard, maybe someone will listen. END THE STIGMA!!
