Kloahk: a hard, industrial rock project, where powerful riffs and pounding rhythms blend with subtle touches of noise music. These fresh tracks, just released, offer a raw and immersive sonic experience for those who crave bold energy and daring textures.
In a VCR, connected to an old television, a VHS tape plays on loop; the tape has become corrupted. On the screen, a symbol rotates, while the song plays. Verses, power chords, choruses, electronic climates and guitars immediately evoke the turning point of the 1980s and 1990s. The Parisian duo uses digital tools, social networks and online videos in the service of analog instruments, live performances and visceral rock in the face of totalitarianism and the consumer society.
I can definitely feel the industrial rock right off the bat. The intro is a subtle attention grabber and once the beat hits in it gives me a slightly mellower Rammstein. I really like the electronic undertones and I think the vocals hit the spot perfectly for what the track is doing. I like the changes in tempo between the verses and instrumental pockets. I only wish it was a little faster-paced and higher-energy as that is my personal taste but I think this track was great and can’t wait to see what is next!
