The rock/metal band La Corriveau have released the third song from the upcoming album ‘’Metal Witch’’. The album is a concept album about the legend of Marie-Josephte Corriveau. This woman is well-known in the Quebec folklore to have been sentenced by the British martial court for the murder of her second husband.
In the song Criminal, the vocal interpretation are done exclusively by our female singer Valerie Michaud. The song is about Marie-Josephte doing her last confession to the village priest, before her execution for the murder of her husband.
This album is the direct follow-up of the previous album ‘’Evil Inside’’ that was presenting the character and location of this creepy legend. The album will be released at a pace of one song per month during eight month, at every full moon, to finally release the physical copy in May 2025 at the Sonum Fest in
Quebec City. The album have been mixed by David Bottrill, a renowned Canadian producer, who have previously worked with Tool, Mastodon, Muse and Peter Gabriel just to name a few. Through this full length you will heard a lot of different style and sound.
La Corriveau have released their first album ‘’Soul Possession’’ in 2012, album that was followed by the EP ‘’Femme Fatale’’ in 2014 and the full length album ‘’Black Sorrow’’ in 2017.
