Probably brought on by the 2020-2022 pandemic, independently of one another, former bandmates Martin Korpi and Niclas Jonsson realized they had spent immense amounts of time focusing on less important matters in life, and therefore decided to reunite and write and record music again. Combining melancholy, distorted guitars and melodic pop structures, this track is the first of three planned releases from their forthcoming debut EP.
“We can’t get the song out of our heads, and to our minds, it should be interesting to anybody into American 90s-type alternative rock & J. Mascis-like guitars (or maybe just catchy pop with front-leaning drums and loud guitars).”
Out of Stockholm, Sweden, Naive Men Leading the Blind was formed in late 2022 by former bandmates Korpi and Jonsson. After a long hiatus from previous bands The Future of Rock’n’Roll, Hans & Greta, and the ska/punk band Brazzaville, independently from one another, they both realized they had spent immense amounts of time focusing on less important matters in life, and decided to start playing music & recording together again.
