Boston-based rock musician Philip Colangelo is creating viby music with influences from classic rock to modern metal. This track highlight, ‘Sunflower,’ from their album “Horse of a Different Color.” The album is a collection of rock songs exploring themes of loves and optimism.
This is a full fledged intro that caught me off guard but in a good way. I wasn’t expecting the different instrumentals with piano and almost synthy vibes but it was just different enough to keep me occupied. Gives off some 80s pop feel, almost like The Cure. I think my favorite part of the song is the vocals, they are very angelic and go with the track very well. It’s a very upbeat song, through and through.
