Blending raw emotion with lyrical depth. A tight concoction of rock, metal, and hip-hop—crunchy and fierce as it is profound. The sound is heavy and relentless, yet also nuanced with moments of introspection and vulnerability.
After years of crafting his sound, Samuel James unsheathes his debut album, “SERVES YOU.” Recorded at Yama Nui Records on the Sunshine Coast, produced by Steve Summers (Ziggy Alberts) & mastered by Kramer (Urge Overkill). This full-length release is a narrative-driven journey, telling the tale of a prince who, after a failed rite of passage, returns home—a symbol of Samuel’s own experiences, battles, and triumphs. With lyrics delivered like a wizard spitting spells from deep within a forest, Samuel’s voice is that of a young sage: weary, depraved, but wise beyond his years. His words are an honest reflection of a soul he has lost, he must reclaim. To do so, he must “kill the king”, his ego.
